General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

Ride Around Georgia · Guided Motorcycle Tours and Motorcycle Rental in Georgia Version: 29 July 2026

Part A · General Provisions

1. Scope and Contracting Parties
These General Terms and Conditions ("GTC") apply to all contracts for guided motorcycle tours, motorcycle rentals, and related services between Ride Around Georgia LLC, registered in Georgia under number 42656123, with its registered office at 38th Street 47, 0114 Mtis Dziri, Georgia (hereinafter the "Organizer"), and the booking person (hereinafter the "Participant").
Part A applies to all services. Part B additionally applies to guided tours, and Part C additionally applies to motorcycle rental.

Deviating terms proposed by the Participant do not apply unless the Organizer agrees to them in writing.
 
2. Conclusion of Contract
Bookings are made in writing via the website, by email, or through a booking channel designated by the Organizer.
The contract is concluded once the Organizer confirms the booking in writing and the deposit has been received.
By making the deposit payment, the Participant confirms having read and accepted these GTC.
 
3. Prices and Payment
All prices are quoted in Euro (EUR) and include the services listed in the respective tour or rental description.
When booking a tour, a deposit of 20% of the total price is due. The balance payment must be made no later than 30 days before the tour start date. For bookings made within 30 days of the tour start date, the full amount is due immediately.
Method of payment: bank transfer. Payment processing fees and exchange rate differences are borne by the Participant.
 
4. Withdrawal by the Participant (Cancellation)
Withdrawal must be communicated to the Organizer in writing. The date of receipt of the notice is decisive.
The following cancellation fees apply, calculated on the total price:

• Withdrawal after receipt of the deposit: 20% of the total price

• Withdrawal 59 to 30 days before the tour start: 50% of the total price.

• Withdrawal from 29 days before the tour start, or no-show: 75% of the total price.

The Participant may nominate a suitable substitute person who meets the participation requirements, up to 7 days before the tour start. No rebooking fees apply; any additional costs already incurred are borne by the Participant.
Taking out travel cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
 
5. Cancellation and Changes by the Organizer
Tours require a minimum of 3 participants to take place. If this minimum is not reached, the Organizer may cancel the tour up to 30 days before the start date.
If the Organizer cancels the tour, all payments made will be refunded in full. No further claims exist, in particular for flights, visas, or other incidental costs. Booking flights is only recommended after the tour has been confirmed.
If a tour must be cancelled or aborted due to force majeure, the Organizer will refund payments minus costs already incurred or unavoidably incurred, or will offer a voucher instead.
 
6. Changes to the Program and Route
Weather, road conditions, safety, and local circumstances may require adjustments to the route, stages, and accommodations. The Organizer may make such changes provided the overall character of the tour is preserved.
Equivalent changes do not give rise to any claim for a price reduction or refund. The decision on whether a route is passable rests with the guide.
 
7. Participant's Insurance
Travel, accident, and health insurance covering the operation of motorcycles of the booked class abroad, including rescue and repatriation, is mandatory for participation.
Proof of insurance must be presented to the Organizer before the tour starts. Without proof of insurance, there is no right to participate, and the cancellation fees under Section 4 apply.
Trip cancellation insurance is additionally recommended.
 
8. Entry, Passport, and Visa
The Participant is solely responsible for valid travel documents, any required visas, and compliance with the entry requirements of Georgia and any transit countries.
 
9. Liability
The Organizer undertakes to carefully select and organize the services, and to carefully instruct and accompany the tours.
Motorcycling carries inherent risks. The Participant takes part at their own responsibility and remains in control of their own riding conduct at all times.
To the extent permitted by law, the Organizer's liability for ordinary negligence is excluded. Liability for personal injury under mandatory law remains unaffected.
For services provided by third parties (accommodations, restaurants, transport companies), the Organizer is liable only as an intermediary.
No liability is assumed for personal belongings, luggage, and valuables carried by the Participant.
Before the tour starts, each Participant signs a Participation and Liability Waiver. Participation is not possible without a signed waiver.
 
10. Force Majeure
Force majeure includes, in particular, natural events, extreme weather conditions, epidemics, orders by authorities, border closures, strikes, and civil unrest. The Organizer is not liable for service disruptions resulting from force majeure.

Part B · Guided Tours
 
11. Participation Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years.

• A valid Category A motorcycle license, plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) with a motorcycle endorsement.

• Sufficient riding experience for the booked tour. Off-road experience is required for enduro and off-road tours.

• Physical fitness to participate. Any limitations must be disclosed to the Organizer prior to booking.

The Organizer may refuse participation if these requirements are not met. In that case, the cancellation fees under Section 4 apply.
 
12. Duties During the Tour

• The guide's instructions must be followed. The guide decides on the route, pace, and breaks.

• Georgian traffic regulations must be observed.

• Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. Wearing a protective jacket, gloves, and suitable boots is mandatory.

• An absolute ban on alcohol and drugs applies while riding.

• Convoy riding rules: maintain distance, no overtaking within the group without the guide's authorization.

Anyone wishing to temporarily separate from the group must discuss this with the guide beforehand and does so at their own responsibility.
 
13. Exclusion from the Tour
A Participant may be excluded from the remainder of the tour if they endanger themselves or others, repeatedly disregard the guide's instructions, or violate Section 12.
 
In the event of exclusion, there is no right to a refund. Additional costs, in particular for the return journey and additional overnight stays, are borne by the Participant.
 
14. Scope of Services
The scope of services results from the respective tour description.
Unless stated otherwise, the following are not included: travel to and from Georgia, visas, insurance, beverages outside of meals, tips, and personal expenses.
 
Part C · Motorcycle Rental

15. Handover and Return
The condition of the motorcycle is jointly documented at handover and return (handover protocol with photographs).
The motorcycle must be returned in the condition in which it was received. For rentals outside of guided tours, it must be returned with a full tank; on guided tours, fuel is included on riding days.
A fee of EUR 20 per commenced hour may be charged for late return.
 
16. Security Deposit
A security deposit of EUR 750 in cash must be provided at handover.
The security deposit is refunded in full upon damage-free return. Damages, missing parts, and cleaning or refueling costs may be offset against the security deposit.
 
17. Renter's Obligations

• Careful handling of the motorcycle and equipment.

• Checking the oil level at every fuel stop, and immediately reporting any technical defects to the Organizer.

• No transfer of use to third parties, no racing, no stunts, no use outside the agreed purpose.

• Riding in the regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia is prohibited.

The renter is fully liable for damage resulting from a breach of these obligations.
 
18. Insurance, Accidents, and Damage
The motorcycles are covered by third-party liability insurance.
No insurance coverage exists in cases of intent, gross negligence, riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or use in breach of the contract. In these cases, the renter is liable without limitation.
Accidents, damage, and theft must be reported to the Organizer immediately. In the event of accidents or theft, a police report must be obtained. Without a police report, the damage is deemed to be the renter's fault.
The renter's liability for insured damage is limited to the security deposit, provided none of the exclusion grounds under paragraph 2 apply.
 
Part D · Final Provisions

19. Photography and Video Recording
During the tours, the Organizer creates photo and video recordings that may be used for the website and marketing purposes. Participants who do not wish to be depicted must inform the Organizer before the tour starts.
 
20. Data Protection
Personal data is used exclusively to process the contract and related services (e.g., accommodation reservations, insurance) and is not disclosed to uninvolved third parties. The website's privacy policy applies.
 
21. Severability Clause
Should individual provisions of these GTC be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to its economic purpose.
 
22. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Language Versions
Georgian law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Tbilisi, Georgia.
These GTC are available in German, English, and Georgian versions. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version shall prevail.
